What to Expect
-
During a 15 minute phone consultation we will discuss your needs and what you are looking for when it comes to counseling to ensure we are a good fit for one another. It’s a chance for you to ask questions and feel out your comfortability. If all is well, we will move forward with scheduling an appointment.
-
The first session is a get to know you session. It is an opportunity for you to fill me in on you and your experiences and discuss your goals for therapy. We will work together to decide what to work through first and make a plan for moving forward.
-
We recommend starting off weekly or bi-weekly. If we go too long between sessions it can feel like we are constantly playing catch up and unable to achieve your goals.
-
The amount of time in therapy really depends on each person individually and can vary. Some clients are short term clients and have sessions ranging from 6-12 sessions. Other clients are more long term. Your time spent in therapy will depend on your goals and progress.
